| Any person who passes the Bar Examination and completes the required courses at the Judicial Research and Training Institute is eligible to become a lawyer. A person who has the qualification for a judge or public prosecutor and military judicial officer is also qualified as a lawyer. But in case of the military judicial officer, they are qualified as a lawyer when their career as military judicial officer exceeds 10 years. A lawyer is able to become a judge or public prosecutor, and vice versa. |

Any attorney-at-law, who desires to commence practice, shall register his or her name with the Association. Any person, who desires to register under the Association, shall submit an application for registration through the local bar association with which he intends to be affiliated.
The local bar association which receives the application may add its written opinion on whether the applicant is qualified as an attorney-at-law or not. Upon receipt of an application for registration the Association shall register without delay the name in its Roster of Attorneys-at-Law and notify the applicant.
If any person who applies for registration is not qualified as an attorney-at-law and deemed substantially improper to carry out the duties of an attorney-at-law, the Association may refuse the registration through a resolution of the Registration Screening Committee. |
